SEO Philosophy

There is an old SEO idea that search engines find websites primarily by the keywords encoded on their site. However, search engines have since changed their process of ranking websites. So the method of just embedding keywords on a site and submitting it to search engines is no longer effective.

There are two kinds of SEO philosophy.

Organic SEO means building a website’s content so that it shows up on a search results page based on the ranking of that content.

This method’s success is mostly dependent upon consistently adding quality, SEO friendly, content.
Paid SEO means using keywords and paying for ads that are posted on search result pages and/or posted on social media.
This method’s success is dependent primarily upon both ads and technical SEO.

How do you know if Organic SEO is a right fit for your site?

Here are some questions to ask:

  1. Does your organization have the time and people available to write quality content?
  2. Do these people have the time and willingness to be trained for creating SEO friendly content?
  3. Will these people be able to produce enough content to match that of sites similar to yours?
  4. Will your organization engage in social media (ie. Facebook)?
If you answer yes to most of these questions, then Organic SEO is a probable fit.
If you lack the time and/or people for producing good quality content on your site and on social media, then Organic SEO may not be a good fit.

How do you know if Paid SEO is a right fit?

Ask these questions:
  1. Does your organization have funds available each month to pay for search ads (ie. Google Ad Words or FaceBook Ads)?
  2. Are there people within your organization able to manage the ad campaigns?
  3. Or Is your organization in a position to pay someone to manage the ads?
If you answer yes to most of these questions, then Paid SEO is a possible fit.
If your answer is no to most of these, then Paid SEO may not be a good fit.

I follow the Organic SEO philosophy.

So with the Deluxe and Complete SEO packages, I teach website owners how to write good content that will increase their search rank while also ensuring that their website has a good technical SEO setup. Organic SEO is for the long-term and requires adding consistent, meaningful, SEO friendly, content over time. It’s not quick but the results are long lasting. It takes work (for both me and the website owner) but the visitors will appreciate the valuable and meaningful content that is easily found by search engines.
The Only Technical SEO package just covers the technical aspects of SEO and not the content and keywords. It is geared for the website owner who knows how to create meaningful content that is SEO friendly and just needs the technical aspects of SEO applied to their site. Or it could be for someone who wants to improve their website’s SEO in steps over time and can’t afford the Deluxe or Complete package right now.
